The Ashley Tamburri Scholarship

Ashley’s educational goal was to attend college and study Psychology.  Although she was unable to attain this goal, the scholarship established in her memory will assist teen cancer survivors with the financial cost of college and in achieving their educational goals.

This renewable scholarship is awarded annually to two graduating seniors who have had or are currently are living with cancer.  The scholarship can be renewed for three additional years awarding a total of $4,000 to each recipient.

Hospital Giving Program

When Ashley was hospitalized to receive treatment for her cancer, it was acutely obvious that the recreational items available for patients were for young children – not teenagers.  During her hospital stays, Ashley either used items geared toward a 6 year old or had nothing at all to occupy her time or enhance the quality of her life during hospitalizations.  Most hospitals lacked the resources needed to purchase a variety of recreational items.
